making new friends while having some fun with HOP COG <3 we began with dinner (lasagna, of course, in honor of Bella's brother, Garfield) and a birthday cake followed by: singing songs & enjoying Bella's story, finding our family rings, pinning the name tag on Bella while remembering that we belong to God, helping Bella find her way home, remembering our true home is always with God, a scavenger hunt that ended w/a treasure box at the foot of cross reminding us that we are God's treasured possession, spelling some of the names God has for us - like "Beloved"..., making name bracelets because God knows our name and celebrating God's goodness with balloons & much shouting, finally ending our evening with a birthday cake piñata just because God loves when we fellowship & celebrate together.

Bella is such an adorable name. I am glad she got rescued. I will always prefer a rescue over any other breeds. You are lucky if you get someone who is gentle, sweet and loving. It seems like it runs from the family. Sometimes rescue pets are more loving because they have spent more than half of their lives being alone and isolated and I feel all souls long for companionship. Maybe they have learned to appreciate our presence more because they have waited for us all their lives.
